Yes, It's been awhile

Sorry Followers, I realize it has been awhile since I posted
but things got rather busy in November and December.

I promise to get back in the swing of things soon.

In the meantime here is a little project I did for Granddaughter's
class at Christmas.

Due to students having so many allergies, our school
system will no longer allow home baked goods or
any types of treats that may trigger allergies. So, I was having a
hard time deciding what to do until I saw the above on Pinterest.
So simple to make . First,  I printed the saying on my computer then stamped
the penguin from the Close To My Heart Wintery Wishes
Hostess Rewards set, Item# C1560. The cello bags came from Michael's and were
the perfect size to hold the card and the chap stick fit snug enough to hold it in place
without having to use tape or glue.

I love the saying and these were a great hit with her classmates for this is something all
can use during these cold winter months

I wish all a very Happy and Healthy New Year.

Sunshine Retreat here I come!!

Hello Followers,
Hope this Monday finds you well. My excitement is building as the weekend approaches. I'll be off to Virginia Beach Friday, with family members and friends for what we believe to be the best scrapbook retreat ever attended.  I have high hopes to get a lot done to share with you soon. Sunshine Retreats also host ones in Colonial Williamsburg, which are smaller and just as much fun, but nothing beats the ocean view from our crafting room. Makes for a great relaxing weekend of scrapbooking. In the meantime, here are cards from our November card swap.

Hope you wonderful Thanksgiving.

Lea France scrapbook pages

The first two pages using the Lea France  Rose Window Stencil.
The Pink Cadillac is a restaurant in Southwestern Virginia near the Natural Bridge.
50's style décor with a lot of Elvis pictures, records etc.  Great food.

This next page is of our visit to White Oaks Lavender Farm in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Beautiful grounds and the lavender fields has passed their peak since it was late August but
our granddaughter enjoyed seeing all the animals. For years her favorite sandwich has been
strawberry jam and peanut butter but since tasting their Blackberry Lavender Jam, it's now
her favorite. So much so, that I have ordered more from their web site.

Below is the package the template comes in showing three
other layouts one can use.

I love using the Lea France technique but my all time favorite is
Mosaic Moments which I used on the next two pages.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoyed.

Two Cards for Mojo Monday Challenge #313

This Challenge I chose to do a 5X5 inch card using white for the base then 4 3/4 x 4 3/4
orange paper.  I put the Washi tape onto white card stock to give it a border on each side.
Studio G VS5733 Series 18  stamps were used for the wording and witch; stamped on white card stock then cut out with a 1 3/8" circle punch. Stampin Up label Bracket punch used for the black behind the circles.

 Inky Antics stamp #M5-4305, colored using the following Copic Markers;
Golden Yellow Y17, Chamois E35, Dark Bark E49,
Nile Green G07, Cadmium Red R27, Green Gray BC93, Apple Green G14,
and Egg Shell E50. Sentiment stamped on white, cut out using  1 3/8" circle punch
then adhered to an orange scalloped circle.
Cloth flower give this card the perfect finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Lea France Technique

These scrapbook pages were created using Lea France templates. Their web site
            www.LeaFrance.com  has many different templates.
Here I used the  third edition of the Stained Glass Stencil.
Pictures were taken when we went to Canada for our anniversary.

I also purchased Rose Garden template,  which I will be using next.
Until then, thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Thank You Cards

Recently celebrated another birthday.
My, they seem to roll around more frequent.
Mojo Monday 312 is my inspiration for the following card;
 one masculine,  one feminine.

I used paper scraps left over from a recent scrapbook retreat
which worked perfectly for these cards.

Till next time.

Growing Up

Our little girl is growing up way too fast!!

Mojo Monday 310 was my inspiration for this layout.

This afternoon I will be getting my supplies and pictures
ready for an all day crop tomorrow.

I will be using the Lea France technique
which I hope to share with you soon. It's a bit more
complicated to do than Mosaic Moments.
