Mojo Monday Challenge 247

This weeks Mojo Monday Challenge got my creative juices flowing.
I cut the following pieces from cardstock;
5" x 10" white - then  folded in half
4 3/4" square black
4 1/2" square white
2 7/8" square yellow
4 1/2'" x 1 1/2" brown & orange paper
Using the Fiskars scalloped edge punch I made the border to go around the yellow square.
The flower made with a Stampin Up punch and I curled the edges using the Paper Blossom molding mat and large ball stylus. Finishing touches are the daisy button in the center of the flower and Starform text "Happy Birthday" sticker

Invitation Card -MojoMonday Challenge 246

This invitation is my entry in this weeks Mojo Monday Challenge. I selected white, brown and pink cardstock for the basis of this card and when adding the ribbon, I made sure to attach and tuck under  the ends of the ribbon before layering onto the brown cardstock.  I chose yellow, brown and green cardstock for the squares to pick up the colors in the ribbon. The wording, cake and balloons were made with the Creative Memories Birthday Wishes stamp set, colored using copic markers then punches out using the Stampin Up Postage Stamp punch. I glued the white postage stamps to the colored paper using double sided tape then used pop dots to adhere to the card. As a final touch, I added stickel to You're Invited.

Soccer Scrapbook page

Our Granddaughter's team had a very successful spring season - 15 Wins and 0 Loses!! It has been so amazing to see how she ( and fellow team members) have progressed. The final game of the season was a nail biter for the parents as it was two undefeated teams. My layout inspirations came from a previous MoJo Monday Challenge.

Op Sail 2012

I took the morning of June 8th off to go down to Fort Monroe to watch the tall ships come into Hampton Roads area for Op Sail 2012. What a magnificent sight!!.
We had clear skies and low humidity so it was a very delightful way to spend several hours.
Most of the tall ships had come in several days earlier then all were docked in Norfolk for the weekend festival. All sailed out on June 12th for their next port of call in Baltimore, Maryland.

Happy Birthday Card

I love the soft pastel colors of this card created for this weeks MoJo Monday Blog Challenge.
The colored paper is from a Martha Stewart Pastel Mat Pad I purchased several years ago.
Cut white card stock piece measuring 12" x 10" ,  then fold in half
Cut one Blue Green paper measuring  5 3/4"x 4 3/4"
Cut one each of Lt. Green and plaid  measuring  3 1/2"x 2 1/2"
Cut 2  white cardstock measuring   3 5/8" x 2 5/8"
Corner round two opposite edges of the Lt. Green,  plaid and white  paper  then adhere the colored papers to the white cardstock, add the strip tabs to the back side of the Lt. Green paper then assemble aa seen.
I chose Creative Memories Reflections paper flower and stripped ribbon with an Enchanted  epoxy jewel for the center of the flower. The scalloped circle is cut with a 1 1/2" Stampin Up die then I chalked the edges, stamped the sentiment with one of the Creative Memories Birthday Wishes stamp using black ink  and attached with a foam dot.

Berry Cards in a Canning Jar

I am most fortunate to work with the creator of this project who is also one of the design team members for Scrapping Cottage. To see  how this amazing project was done go to the Scrapping Cottage Blog as Barry has given excellent instructions.

This would work well with apples and make a great teacher gift.
